Meet the Team

We're a team of clinicians with diverse backgrounds, identities, and skillsets. But we share one core belief that unites our work: neurodiversity is an essential part of human diversity that must be celebrated.

Whether you're seeking diagnosis, career testing, EMDR therapy, or a safe place to explore complicated family dynamics, you will receive care that is neurodivergent-affirming, trauma-informed, and built around your experience of the world.

Megan Parks DuBose

Clinical Director | Counselor | Neurodiversity Advocate

I am a career counselor, therapist, and advocate for neurodivergent women and queer folks. I am passionate about helping autistic and ADHDers embrace their strengths while addressing their unique realities in a world that caterers to neurotypical experiences. I feel called to help women identify their unique strengths, break free from painful patterns, and move toward fulfilling personal and professional lives.

I know I was put on this earth to get into good trouble - the kind that makes some people uncomfortable, and empowers those who have been marginalized.

Before founding Spark and Pivot Counseling, I earned my Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Southern Methodist University and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Davidson College. Most of my pre-license clinical work was with incarcerated individuals. In a local county jail, I learned firsthand how many of our systems intersect in devastating ways - keeping our most vulnerable community members trapped in cycles of poverty, substance abuse, and mental health crisis. It was in that setting that I learned how my privilege and personal resources protected me from similar outcomes; and must be used to break these intergenerational cycles of violence through my work.

I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.

Jana Leeper

EMDR Therapist | Career Counselor

I work with people who have lived through big pain and are finally ready to face it (not just talk about it). My clients are often trauma survivors who also identify as neurodivergent, ADHD, or "too emotional." They're tired of feeling stuck, angry, or overwhelmed by what's happened to them and how it still shows up in their daily lives. Using EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and a mind-body approach, I help you process trauma safely while building real-world systems that help you function and feel like yourself again.

Before transitioning to clinical work, I spent over 10 years in career guidance in higher education, supporting people through major life transitions. I earned my Master of Education in Counseling and Human Development from Hardin-Simmons University and my Bachelor of Behavioral Science with a double major in Communication and Psychology, also from Hardin-Simmons University.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-Associate) under the supervision of Lauren Gastorf, M.Ed., LPC-S in Texas.

Diagnostic Evaluator

My passion — and my hyperfixation — is diagnosis, especially when it comes to understanding neurodivergent adults.

I know how important it is to feel seen rather than misunderstood. I’ve dedicated my work to supporting creatives and neurodivergent humans — people who think differently, process the world uniquely, and often haven’t felt fully understood in traditional healthcare settings.

Over the years, I’ve built a testing approach that looks at the whole person. My doctoral research is focused on developing a more inclusive diagnostic tool for neurodivergent adults; and for that reason my assessment battery is intentionally curated to explore differential diagnoses, sensory experiences, and levels of masking.

My goal is simple: offer an evaluation process that’s affirming, thorough, and actually makes sense for how your brain works. No cookie-cutter testing. No generic reports. Just clarity, compassion, and practical recommendations you can use in real life.

I hold counseling licenses in Texas and California, am a National Certified Counselor, and Doctoral Candidate / Psychological Associate in California.
